PILLARS

to support the weight of Lasting Change

Each interdependent pillar is critical to supporting the weight of lasting change in the lives of young people & to set them up for success.

But it’s not so much about the programs themselves, but these pillars simply provide the structure, accountability, and opportunities for relational mentoring.  In doing so they break through barriers and build bridges (intergenerational, cultural, socio-economical, racial, geographical) between at-risk youth and the rest of the community. It’s through these relationships that transformation occurs.

The key to success will not be because of these 6 core pillars, but the relationships. Transformation occurs through relationships.

The pillars are holistic, addressing the most critical areas for the success of justice-involved youth.  Without the necessary support in these areas, justice-involved youth frequently receive “chances” that are setting them up for failure.
